Many ages ago, when the Earth was still cooling, I started my undergraduate career as a physics major. I made it to the middle of the first semester of my junior year. I was in an Advanced Mechanics course that term, and we were doing Fourier Transforms. I was completely lost, so I stood up in the middle of class and said, “This is a bunch of mathemetical bullshit!”, and walked out and changed my major to Anthropology.

Well, it’s 20 years to late, but this explanation is actually pretty intuitive:

I wish I had had this explanation at the time, because I struggled through it without actually understanding it, which is a sure-fire way to be hate something.
